Abstract

The communicative approach to teaching a foreign language allows us to visualize the process of foreign language communication. This approach considers a communicative act as a product of the communicative situation, which is an informative and speech product. Teaching a foreign language means teaching speech activities in the target language. One of the essential conditions for forming students' foreign language communication skills is the use of communicative exercises in teaching. The number and nature of these exercises depend on several factors. A contextual-situational approach is one of the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of effective communication. Students should be trained and develop their professional communicative competence within the framework of this approach.
